Scheme: This home is designed to fit well within the California landscape of Sonoma Mountain (Casa Grande Rancho) between the Adobe Creek and Rodgers Creek drainage as well as paying homage to the historical ranching vernacular of the Petaluma Valley and the Sonoma and Napa wine country. It will be a OFF-GRID, sustainable, Green Building to outperform the current CALGreen standards California Building Codes. The house is located on a site that has a spectacular view of the Petaluma valley (directly across the valley that will become the landscape focal point of the design) view to Mount Tamalpais and Mount Diablo. The major design strategy is to create a 6 Bed/4 Bath home using heavy timber, exterior plaster, tile or metal roofs as well as use stone and/ or concrete to create a relationship between historical and modern architecture with timeless qualities.
